That is true but his other point is very vaild it really shouldn't be called Madden anymore since John Madden no longer does the commentary for the game.

John Madden hasn't done the commentary in years. I think the reason they keep the name is because of branding. The word "Madden" is probably more synonomous with EA's NFL Football game than it is for John Madden himself.
Political correctness gone mad! The inclusion of WNBA in an NBA video game is to keep the PC police on side.
It's amazing how long it took to happen. Men's sports is so much more prestigious though I guess, but it just seems like they'd have put this in a long time ago just for the sake of more content.
