Forums - Gaming - What do you do at those Con things?

My friend talked me into going to a local Con but the problem is I don't know what to do there - walk around stare at boobs all day? I'm an itrovert, I don't know how to have a good time in a event like that. You can play games there, why is that cool? I rather do it at home privately while I don't have to smell strangers sweat and farts.

Depends on what kind of Con it is... I've only been to a smaller convention or two but I've always wanted to go to one of those Comic/Star Trek/Scifi/Blizzard/Retro Game conventions, but have never gotten around to it O_o

Basically, just let your guard down and join in the silly revelry. If you're legitimately interested in whatever the convention is celebrating there's generally costumes, merchandise, behind-the-scenes and reveal footage, and guests involved in w.e it is to see; there's a great sense of community that I think actually suits introverts and makes the experience more comfortable, as I'd be willing to bet that most of the people there, despite how they may appear in that moment, are generally introverts everywhere else.

I went to one back in 1993. It was completely titless. I mean, there were tits there, but not on display as part of the event. Um....bring some money, shop around, buy some stuff? I don't know what to tell you. Your boobs idea sounds decent.

I dont have to go to a con to stare at boobs all day.

Hunting Season is done...

What size are we talking? Not the boobs, the convention?

MCM London - You get to talk to people, go to talks, go to signings, play games and you'll not only see hot girls in cosplay but big fat guys in cosplay too.

My local town 'comic con' - You'll see that guy who appeared on Doctor Who once that now can't get work and a retired Marvel write who wrote for Marvel UK only in the 80s. No boobs, just people trying to flog you stuff.

Hmm, pie.

Yeh, that is the only thing I can imagine. My friend says he is going to buy games there.

This right here is pretty damn spot on.

What I do at Cons is walk around and try to find exclusive statues and toys etc for display in my gaming room.  Then I go to panels to hear people I am interested in do their speaking engagement or their Q&A.

I have a coworker who goes to several comic book conventions a year. He likes to go for autographs and live interviews, though I hear a lot of people like to go for rare merchandise too.

I can't see myself going to one...but mostly because I really don't like crowds. I can see the appeal for others though.

Quick google.... Unicon, this weekend.

Seems okay, lots of Cosplay stuff... so it might be a cosplay heavy con. But it does list some gaming stuff, it just won't be like GamesCon is all.

Up to you but if you can get Pugoffka's number for me? That would be great.
