I love Bethesda.

This will be awesome.

Did you not like Oblivion RocketPig?

Oblivion had its moments but overall, the complete lack of consequence in the game made me lose interest pretty quickly. The lack of a decent story didn't help it either.

I'm really scared that Bethesda is going to Oblivionize my favorite RPG series of all time.

I guess that I'm alone in loving Oblivion.

I enjoyed it as well.  It's not perfect or anything, the repetitive dungeons bored me after awhile, I also didn't like the fact that the monsters scaled up with the character, and the combat allowed a person to be cheap, but I found the rest of the game worked well.

Oblivion had some strong points and with a little tweaking, could have been a definitive RPG.

I just think that Bethesda went over the top with the options. I really dislike the idea of becoming guild leader for every guild and basically walking through the game with few consequences for your actions. Take Fallout 2, for example. One of my favorite things about the game were the consequences and labels like "Child Killer" and "Slaver". Fuck around too much and the game slaps you hard for it.

In Oblivion, there was too little direction and too few repercussions for doing things like killing an entire town. They throw you in jail... Whoopee... Do that in Fallout and you might have to start the game over because you can't go anywhere without a fight. A little extreme, yes, but completely rewarding.

That's exactly what I always hated about Fallout, the repercussions are so rediculous that it makes playing through the rest of the game without restarting unenjoyable, which more or less takes away from the point of giving you a choice in the first place.

Besides, I  somehow doubt everyone in San Fran would know you blasted a street urchin halfway across the state in the first place.

It looks ok, but nothing great, though I'll take the trailor over this any day =D

Fallout was a little over the top but I'll take that approach over Oblivion any day.

In a perfect world, we would get something in the middle (if not more toward the Fallout side of things).

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

I am really hoping that this game turns out to be really good. I love things that deal with post apocalyptic environments. It is good to know that Bethesda is working on this game.

Fallout 1 and 2 are my favorite WRPGs of all time. So I am eagerly awaiting this.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I own Oblivion and I must say it isnt as good as most people say it is. Although this looks pretty tight because of Oblivion I am kind of worried.

I loved it, too. It's up there with KotoR and the Baldur's Gate games on my list of favorite RPGs.

Im more hyped for Fallout 3 than any other game this year, I think.

You DO realize that Bethsada has already stated that the world of Fallout is going to be vastly more consequence-focused than Oblivion, right?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I love Bethesda but I do hope they make it so the game doesn't hold your hand the entire way through like in Oblivion.

If you play Morrowind then Oblivion you can tell that Oblivion was made to be more 'casual' (to use a word I hate), the leveled enemies and items in particular just make the game ridiculous.

Sure, I can beat the greatest fighter in the empire at level 5.
