Making the next Zelda will be far quicker and simpler now that they not only have assets done with BOTW, which they could very well reuse, but they also have the engine and the whole idea of how they want to make Zelda games going foward locked down.Add the part that Nintendo is now accoustomed to HD game developing, and I can see a new Zelda comming 2019.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

2019 - Link Between Worlds Successor
2022 - Breath of the Wild Successor (I'm guessing it will be announced and delayed a year or two)

I think the next 'big' game will launch in 2020/2021/2022, but they will probably release a remake / 2D game / semi-spin off before that.

2019 - A top-down, 2D Zelda game along the likes of A Link Between Worlds.
2023 - Next 3D Zelda game with Breath of the Wild's formula. Nintendo Switch 2 launch title.

I expect another mainline Zelda on Switch circa. 2020. The wait won't be six years this time, because I can see them reusing many of the assets of botw, like the physics engine. Probably an open-world termina?
I expect Skyward Sword HD to release in early 2019.
Bet with Intrinsic:
The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
i think in 2 years we could see the next entry
There are too many variables to consider: does the 3DS team still work on a smaller project or did it merge with the 3D team to speed up development ? How much will Nintendo recycle from BotW (they already said they would re-use the engine for other games) ? (Imho A LOT, similarly to what they did with Majora) Does the Zelda team get the chance to make a new IP like most of the other teams seem to have and if so is it low budget similarly to Splatoon or high budget to make Aonuma's dream thief game reality ? Will the world be as big if not bigger than BotW (imho it won't) or will it will it be smaller to take a Majora's Mask approach ?
I think we'll definitely see it soon, Holiday 2019 is possible imho
