i agree that their first party heavy hitters are kinda same in how they look and i think they should reduce their budget a little bit and create 2 or 3 AA games using the budget of one AAA flashy game.ps4 needs more games like ratchet and clank and sly cooper and crash.thats why i said they should learn a lot from nintendo.create low budget unique  AA games and make more profit from it.with this strategy they can double their output and also reduce the risk of closing studios.i mean look at games like horizon zero dawn, game is great but that took ages to make.that game probably cost more to make than zelda, splatoon and arms combined but the it never going give sony the profit like all nintendo games.sony got the talents but they need to realize that theres a huge market for these AA games.ps2 had a lot of these amazing AA games but with ps3 they loose their way and i hope they return to their form soon.their recent effort in budget titles like crash knack wipeout ebgolf are a good sign tho.

That would be terrible because it would mean that we would be getting same-y games every year. The devs need to have creative control so that we can get a variety of games. Imagine playing the same character every year because Sony wants to reduce pre-production budget. That would be terrible.

no,what i meant is that they should divide a bigger budget  and invest them in two different style or genre AA game developed by two team inside a single studio.they can produce mutiple types of games with a single AAA budget in less time.they can do a lot of spin off too in the spare time.more first party output and more variety a win win for gamers and sony.right now they have the most diverse game library but first party wise it can be improved alot.and one thing is that sony never care for their ips they always ditch them and move to other things.why cant they keep the old ips and make new ones.tey abandoned a lot of good ips and its sad to see.

We still get the smaller games though. I think there is a balance between big AAA and the smaller titles. Just this year there are games like Gravity Rush 2, Matterfall, Hot Shots Golf, Knack 2 and Hidden Agendas. Even Lost Legacy is a smaller title. If you take away the AAA, that's also a way of losing variety in your games.

And I think it's not Sony that ditches old IPs, it's the devs. If a dev wants to go back to working on an old IP of theirs, I don't think Sony would stop them.

Hmm Looks interesting enough to keep an eye on it. I hope it turns out well.

They can like that. I don't.

Then I assume that's why you don't game on PC then, because it's only F2P titles.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

i know that and thats why i said that playstation has the most diverse linup of games right now but i am just giving my opinion on how sony should deal with the critisism or concern of samey tlou esque first party games as shown by some users here.tbh ps4 has a lot of diverse games and thats why its selling in alot of country where people dont even know about xbox or nintendo.same is applied for ps1 and ps2 and to certain extend ps3.but u cant satisfy everyone, there will be always someone complaining about sonys library.
