I know this is fake but wow, nintendo seem to be pretty tollerant of rip offs but this would cross a line, so many little details are the same! ie the speaker holes fading in the exact same way.

hum,.... maybe not so fake after all ...
it has been rumored many times before

I just hope it is TRUE

It is why MS is so dangerous, they just steal everything from Apple to Ninty

Well Sony tends to copy more from Nintendo than MS. As far as Apple goes LOL. Apple steals everything too and in fact many things in 10.4 were in the Longhorne Milestones nearly 3 years earlier(like spotlight and gadgets). But if you want me to list the stuff taken from Linux and Fairlight(errrmmm Itunes) that apple just took I can.

Also rememebr that Sony refused to settle the Immersion lawsuit until waaaaayyyyyyy after MS did.

I think this is a great idea.

What exactly is wrong with acknowledging Nintendo has a great and successful idea?

If they offer patches for key past games (Bioshock/HALO), I'll be first in line!!!

Hell yes. And yet, the hate it stirs up among fanboys will be monumental. So far in all the places this has been posted, you're the only other one I've seen who thinks it's a good idea.

People, we don't work for Nintendo. Why should we care if MS is ripping them off? What matters is whether or not this would improve our gaming experience, and I think it most definitely would. Come on, Wii's FPS controls applied to this generation's defining FPSs instead of backwoods WWII shooters and adventure/puzzle shooters? RE5 with RE4: Wii Edition's controls? Strategy games with mouse-style pointer support? How can you possibly complain about that? All the potential for these control schemes that's being wasted on the Wii would be realized on the 360.

It doesn't matter whether a late-comer peripheral like this would be universally successful. I would buy it, and I think it would be worth it.

Edit: oh, and has anybody mentioned that Microsoft, not Nintendo, pioneered motion-sensing controllers? The Sidewinder, anyone?

Could be true. And some kind of concept probably is in development at some stage, whether or not it's ever actually released. The thing is, it would be a monumental failure, both failing to win over new customers and alienating their current userbase. That wouldn't stop them from pushing it out anyway though (never doubt the power that the marketing departments have over the engineerings ones, heh.)

To put it simply all companies are dicks.

This whole thing could smell like desperate measures by Microsoft.

But,start another question:

Could the Wii continue the success it got when a "HD" (supposedly superior, depends of your point of view) offers its "main" advantage?

Yeah, the games-line up of Nintendo is unique and great, but what do you think that can happen if this is true?

Wow, everyone copies Nintendo.

No, it's more like MS copies everyone. When they get an original thought, call me :)

P.S. This is obviously a fake.
