The Super Smash Bros. Wii U tournament at EVO 2017 will have a presence on television this weekend. Just a few minutes ago, it was announced that the finals are set to air live on Disney XD. The event will be shown during the channel’s new gaming block, D|XP.

Fans can tune in at 6 PM ET / 3 PM PT to watch the Smash Bros. fun on Disney XD. Of course, it will be live streamed online as well.

Let's go. Kinda surprised Smash was the second game in FGC to air on TV, hopefully Nintendo's involvement is for the better.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

When people don't expect your game to be the second to be aired on TV, despite being the second largest event at EVO for three years in a row, you know there's something wrong.

That's pretty cool. Will try to watch as much as I can live on Twitch, but I'm glad Smash is going further with its exposure as a competitive fighting game. Seeing Kameme with Mega Man climb their way to a surprise 2nd place finish and a complete smackdown against the best in the world, ZeRo was a big highlight from last year's EVO. I hope to see some more surprising upsets and new blood in the scene. Not sure if it will top 2GG Civil War, which was one of the most insane tournaments I've ever watched for Smash Bros., but I hope for a really good show.
