Its good to be prepared for any eventualities. If they do decide to work on ps3, then they have a qualified person. The future is never certain, so who knows exactly what they will be doing.

Even though this is far from proof that the game is coming to the PS3, it makes sense to multi-plat this game.

Unless, of course, Microsoft moneyhats 2K for exclusivity.

I will never advocate moneyhatting for exclusivity but it would make sense for MS to try to pay to keep BioShock 2 off the PS3. It's one of the premiere franchises this generation.

During today's conference call to discuss its financial results, Take Two announced that a sequel to BioShock is in development at its new 2K Marin Studio. The game is expected to arrive in the company's Fiscal 2009, so that means before October 31, 2009.


 That doesn't mean that the studio will make Bioshock 2 then be immediately disbanded - Requiring the PS3 experience could be for some future project after the completion of Bioshock 2.  It could also be to weed out apllicants as many here have suggested, or it could even mean the slight possibility of a PS3 port, though I highly doubt it.
