Forums - Nintendo - New Splatoon 2 ads popping up in Japan

Splatoon 2’s launch is less than two weeks away. In Japan, Nintendo is gearing up for the big day with new ads that are appearing in various places.

Splatoon managed to do extremely well in Japan even though Wii U wasn’t the hottest console around at the time. With Splatoon 2, its release is definitely going to be massive. The only unfortunate part of it all is that Nintendo won’t have nearly enough Switch supply to cover the demand.

i love that all the pictures taken to the posters almost seem to be in-game due to the in-game locations trying to recreate typical Japanese urban areas

Oh god.

if the Switch didn't have supply issues, I wouldn't be surprised if 1-2+ million Switches were sold during Spla2oon's launch week

Poor Japan, bless their souls if Pokemon or Animal Crossing also launch while there are still stock issues.

Where can has I founds them for in my room?

Thoses are art works !

Hopefully they raise their baseline from 30k a week to somewhere around 50-60k a week in Japan after this game launches.

I guess the issue with Nintendo now is not how many switch units can they sell, rather than how fast can they produce them.

Man, Nintendo's marketing is really on point for the Switch.

Fictitious fashion label ads with the signatures of fictitious designers...

I love it!

Even Splatoon's marketing is creative.
