Speaking to GI.biz, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said Activision is "experimenting" with Crash right now. He is not sure as of yet if there is mass appeal for Crash or if the interest in the N. Sane Trilogy only comes from a smaller market of dedicated fans.

"We know there's a vocal fanbase that wanted that to come back. But you never know if that is emblematic of a larger audience or just this niche, nostalgia-based community," he said. "So far, we are seeing some real passion for it, so that could lead to other things."

Hirshberg added: "Of course, we are always trying to find the next big thing. But our first priority is to make sure we are servicing the communities that we are already lucky enough to have."

With the success the trilogy is making, of course they are now interested to do more games.

I wonder if this means more remasters, like Crash Team Racing, or if they're actually going to go with new games altogether. I assume that they'd be going with a soft reboot if it's a new game.

Let's see. This was obviously not a remaster (seriously, look at it), it looks like the old games remade. So what means they have assets and models all ready.

So, why not make some more with the exact mind frame of these originals. Don't try and make them big epics like the latter games. Just make more like the first 3 and sell them for £15 a piece, later on a £40 collection of all 3. They'll make loads of money.

They need to Remaster and bundle Crash Team Racing and Crash Bash and market it as the ultimate party game. If they make new games I hope they follow the blueprint of the original trilogy.
