Forums - Gaming - I forgot how frustrating is Uncharted gameplay

I don't remember any issues with the controls. If anything I was more annoyed with the laggy controls in TW3 than I remember from Uncharted 3.

He walks clumsily like drunken, constantly swinging to all directions and stumbling on something, and bending down for no reason.
I'm afraid to see how you control the boy in TLG!

I was replaying Uncharted 1 on PS4, yesterday. It's a little frustrating, too. Sometimes, the game won't let me jump anywhere that isn't predetermined. The jump button just doesn't work at all. Other times, he'll jump someplace totally unexpected and die.

yup the whole trilogy suffers from terrible controls bad pacing and nonsensical plot nothing new really.

The controls are really only weird in U3 for some reason. Uncharted 2 had amazing gameplay. It wouldn't have had such an amazing online multiplayer otherwise.

I agree, frustrating difficulty is one of the main issue of series. Also Last Of Us suffers from the same problem at times, expecially in zombie segments. On the other hand gunfights agiaist humans feel challenging but well balanced.

I've played through the first three games recently (almost done with Uncharted 3), and I have to say, the gameplay is decent but had its weird moments. Sometimes, I die while jumping from like 15-20 ft, which is kinda weird. I don't mind getting damaged, but automatic death? Coverage is a bit wonky at times as there are moments where I don't get to a cover in a position I want to be in. There are also some weird moments where I tried to move Nathan and he suddenly makes an unintentional abrupt movement. It didn't always feel natural.

I will say this, though, the action scenes are pretty entertaining and its fun seeing the characters interact with one another, even if the plot is the typical B-movie, Indiana Jones-type. I don't mind since I'm a fan of Indiana Jones so I don't always take the plot seriously. If its crazy to see a refrigerator survive an atomic bomb, then its also crazy to see Nathan Drake (as a kid and as an adult) able to climb the way he does and that's fine with me,

I had same problems with Uncharted 4. I don't remember 3 having really bad controls but in 4 he has noodle arms. I don't play with auto aim, I had to adjust the sensitivity to 2 so he wouldn't have that noodle arm effect.

0 problems for me, love the game

Uncharted 3 has the best setpieces in the series. MP was great too.

From a gameplay perspective, Uncharted has always been grossly over rated.

Good visuals and story with average gameplay. Uncharted 4 was no exception but had strong moments.
