Yes, but it would've been better if there was a new Donkey Kong game to go with all this. I'm starting to think Nintendo really has abandoned Donkey Kong. -_- |
It's when you expect it the least that you'll get it. Be patient my friend, this year is looking like a launch year for a new console. IMO it is marking the beginning of the second half of switch's life-cycle. After all those announcements, there's nowhere that nintendo stops supporting switch this suddenly and 2022 is quiet massive (first party wise) for a nintendo system this years-old. Support will be continuing for at least 3-4 years and to support the system you'll need games. I personally had my hopes up after the revival of Metroid and advance wars and the fact that bayonetta wasn't cancelled made things clear for me:
Teams are giving one last shot for switch before turning the focus on developing games for its successor. One or two games are expected from the remaining teams that didn't reveal anything for 2022, and for sure monolith has something, intelligent systems might have two games, next level games are working on something, and internal teams like the mario team are expected to show games also, and of course we already know about Metroid Prime 4.
It's almost an evidence that DK won't be left behind ;)
