Monolith on DE, it's planned since 2017 and was green lit when XBC2 did well, development has been since Torna went gold their new game is confirmed to have been in development for just as long which means its likely further along than expected. Monolith have 3 studios with the primary studio split into 3 teams with one working on DE, one on the new game and the third assisting both, one of the other studios is helping with BOTW's sequel while the third assists in other first party projects like AC.

So slightly less than a 2 year turnaround for Xenoblade Definitive Edition then, and their new game should be ready to be shown by now.

Time for them to bring back the Kid Icarus series, it's been 8 years since Uprising

That's a nice idea. I tried uprising but the controls were just too much for me. I would like to try a sequel to uprising.

Source? A new F-Zero by the MK8 team without Miyamoto fucking around with it would be amazing.

Woops I misremembered the exact wording. Hoping for a new F-Zero doesn't necessarily mean they are interested in making it themselves.

Is there a way to make them interested in making a new F-Zero?

I reckon if head office asked them to do it they'd give it their all. MK8 shows they've got the chops. It's more a question of whether the higher up consider the IP financially worthy of a revival or if they don't they don't think it would make money. The last console entry, GX, was apparently a flop in spite of being a superb game.

I say, let XC DE have it's year before Monolith Soft show something else. I'm also intrigued as to what this new game will be but I prefer a good cook in the oven and a fast delivery than Atlus development model 😂

A remake of a Wii game doesn't need the whole year to itself; I wanna see what actual new stuff Monolith are working on, to have something to look forward to. If it's been in the works for two years already it's likely releasing in the next 18 months anyway.

I agree with Rol regarding F zero GX the games difficulty was cheap and made the game not fun at all.

It seems Nintendo lowered the price of the New 2DS xl to $100. I cannot find it on any website though lol. I want.

How could it have flopped?!

I just looked into it and according to a 2018 interview it did sell 1.5 million, so perhaps it wasn't a flop after all. I just remember reading multiple times about it selling poorly, but given the shortage of sales sources back then, maybe all that was just mistaken hearsay.

Could be. 1.5 million units sold wasn't bad. I thought F-Zero died out because of the poor performance of F-Zero GP Legend (along with the anime of the same name having a short-lived English dub), and Shigeru Miyomoto not having any new ideas for the series.

Guess F-Zero needs a new team to bring it back.

VGChartz does indeed show very low numbers for GP Legend, but it also shows 650k for GX.

If Starfox Zero is any indication Miyamoto should be kept far, far away from F-Zero. The guy is past his prime and has become a liability.
