Today marks 6 months since the last time I bought a Switch game. (Luigi's Mansion 3)
The Switch has been a system of such contrasts; at times I've been unable to keep up with all the games coming out, at others its as barren as the down  years of the Wii U.

Yeah. It's even more difficult if you aren't trying to buy second copies of Wii U titles... I.E. Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart, Smash, Bayonetta, New Super Mario Deluxe, Tropical Freeze and so on.

Games like Links Awakening though... Totally makes the platform worth it inbetween the droughts.

Oh there's definitely some amazing games on it, I just wish their release schedule was more consistent and less patchy.

I'd say Mario Kart 8 DX is worth the re-buy just because of the total revamped combat mode. Though, it is the most solid blast I have online with any games still.

Nah.

I can't say I've felt much of any kind of drought on the Switch, there's always been something to play. I have over 100 games on the system at this point and I imagine it'll take me a while to get through them all xD

Also, I've been busy with Animal Crossing quite a bit lately, was finally able to accomplish this:

It took some fiddling to make sure all of Isabelle's ridiculous critiques and demands were addressed, but I finally bested the yellow hellspawn and did it.

How is everyone else's island adventure coming along for those who are playing New Horizons?

FY report this Thursday, will be interesting as numbers announced will effectively be sold through at this point.

I only need 4 power moons to have them all in Mario Odyssey but they're literally a nightmare to get

Why the thread got a name change after so long?

Hey everyone. In regards to the name change for the thread, I had a few things in my mind when making that change.

The original "NintenDominion" name was basically a continuation of the "NintenDomination" naming that had been a tradition ever since the old "Nation Thread" era of VGC years ago. I'm not sure how everyone else felt about that era, but I've never been particularly fond of the effect those types of threads had on the community during that time. I felt it encouraged walled gardens of activity that had a bad side-effect of causing people to hole themselves into a particular thread and not venture far outside of it.

I'm glad to see that this does not seem to be the case with this thread, and so I didn't really want to reference back to that particular era of VGC anymore. Another reason is that I feel like the old Nation Thread naming scheme for the thread can be a bit confusing for newer members who were never around to experience that and may not really understand the significance of why a thread would be called "NintenDomination" or "NintenDominion", so I felt like making the name more simplistic and straightforward.

I'm open to critiques and input on the subject, obviously. So if anyone wants to weigh in on the topic or offer an alternative naming that goes along some of the things I had mentioned, I'm definitely open to it.

That's what I'd like to know.

More importantly I'd like to know what Nintendo will do in June if they're not doing a digital event?

Was this confirmed somewhere? E3 is cancelled but they could still have a video presentation on their own if they're able.

Thats fair enough, a name is just a name so don't matter to me what it's called. Was curious about it suddenly changing out the blue is all.

Your reasoning is fine... but I think "The Nintendo Thread" is painfully bland.

Maybe "Nintendo Fun Club"?
