Is nice, but I don't get both versions of Pokemon games since it really isn't worth it, in my opinion

Yeah same, one version is enough for me. I don't always get the enhanced versions anymore either.

But... they haven't made an enhanced version since 2008 with Platinum.

I consider Black 2/White 2 and UltraSun/UltraMoon to be along the same lines as 'enhanced' versions. They're not new mainline generational games even though they're not straight up revised versions.

I usually get third versions and skip remakes but right now I have 0 reason to be interested in US/UM.

Oh but you're missing out on a lot if you didn't play B2/W2.

What is he missing out on that isn't in newer games?

Its own story, places, characters and soundtrack, as well as a huge amount of post-game content that has been mostly removed in every game that followed (including stuff like the Join Avenue, the Pokémon World Tournament, the Black Tower/White Treehollow and more).

Err the bolded also applies to new games, infact moreso as they're not reusing characters places n music, it's all completely new. True about post-game content though, but playing the game today means you'll be missing out on online. Of course how important that is be relative, but for me it easily outweighs all that stuff so I can't recommend people get that game now.

The online in Pokémon was so crappy pre-3DS that it really doesn't matter anyway.

And yes, obviously newer Pokémon games also have their own story, places, characters and soundtrack, but that doesn't mean they replace B2/W2. Each game is unique and each game has its own story to tell, and B2/W2's is one of the best, because it is a direct sequel to B/W (which is easily the best in the series story-wise) and it builds quite a lot on top of it, with a lot of character development that is actually well-written for a change.

I actually did get White 2, but I skipped Emerald and Platinum before it.

I find SuMo's sales in Japan to be so underwhelming. Pre-release I honestly thought it had a shot at 6m LT, and I would have said there was no chance it wouldn't at least increase over X/Y. I'm totally shocked it won't beat XY or likely even hit 4m. I guess Go had the opposite effect on it I was expecting, and actually killed off some interest in the mainline games.

Yeah, it's really weird how each region reacted differently to Go. SuMo is doing terribly in Japan, but it'll already be ahead of X/Y in the USA by the next Chartz update.

I doubt it has anything to do with Go cannibalizing numbers and more to do probably with the Switch stealing some of its thunder and the announcement of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon slowing down the base games' sales.

Guys, does anyone know if the Splatfests are at different times? I can use my Japanese and American accounts if that's the case XD.
