This music track is amazing.

They're also going to add Hedlok as an item and a Records feature with the upcoming Arms update. So we'll get this:

- Playable Max Brass
- 3 new Arms
- New stage
- New music
- Hedlok as an item: the player who grabs it will be able to play as Hedlok
- Records feature
- Balance update

lol whut! Where did you get this info from?

They're also talking about a mysterious character who created Hedlok, Dr. C.

Takahashi on Xenoblade 2: "With regard to the number of places to explore and visit, I think we’re going far beyond what Xenoblade Chronicles X was able to offer."

https://gonintendo.com/stories/284789-monolith-soft-on-exploration-as-a-big-focus-in-xenoblade-chronicl

Noice!Hope they make them more significant. Not that in XCX wasnt, but it would be more satisfying if you found rare gear, and towns and stuff on the places you visit instead of jist more fauna to see and some random loots.

Yeah XCX's world was impressive, and the mining points and loot did give some reward for exploring, but it would definitely have been improved by the addition of stuff like towns, mini-dungeons, and rare gear, and hopefully XB2 does so.

There are a lot of things in XCX that I hope XB2 improves, and thankfully it seems to have most of them sorted. (Music and story most notably)

Oh and the game has been in development since late 2014, for those wondering how it is coming out so soon.  They've changed their localization process too to eliminate the long localization wait.

When did they say this? I missed that.

Man, the wait for XCX to be localized was frigging torture. 9 freaking months. I could've had a baby in that time!

It was stated in an interview and I think discussed during the stream, I think.  But here's the quote:

“We’re really building [the game] as we’re in discussion,” said Yokota. “Whereas for the past title, the Japanese version had already been pretty much close to completion when this [localization] discussion started.”

So they are localizing while creating the game, not finishing it and then localizing afterwards.

Nintendo Firmly Believes There’s A Future For Dedicated Handhelds

https://mynintendonews.com/2017/07/09/nintendo-firmly-believes-theres-a-future-for-handhelds/

“The Switch is off to a great start. We’ve seen people engaging the Switch in a number of different ways, and we’ve been given some raw data that I won’t get into, but across the spectrum, some never take it out of its cradle, others use it as a portable device, but a lot of people are right in the middle, with a balance between home and portable play. We absolutely believe there’s still a future in handheld, and so we’re investing in it. Couple things: you got an install global base of about 66 million units [for the 3DS]. We’re in the seventh year of the cycle. And we’re going to actually install another 6 million units this year. So that userbase will grow by 10% this year. We have a catalog of a thousand games. We’re launching the 2DS XL, which takes the best of the 2DS and the best of the XL, and brings it together for that user that doesn’t want a 3DS experience, but wants a sleeker clamshell based model. And it delivers that for $149. So, we’re still investing in hardware. And with the announcements you’ve seen this week, we’re obviously still investing in software too.”

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Switch To Release In North America And Europe This September

http://wccftech.com/dragon-ball-xenoverse-2-switch-release/

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has been announced a few months ago for Nintendo Switch, but a precise release date for North America and Europe had yet to be confirmed. Today, Bandai Namco confirmed that the game will release West not too long after it hits Japan.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will release on Switch on September 22nd in both North America and Europe. The new version of the game will come with some unique features not found in the PC, PS4 and Xbox One releases such as motion controls and more."

Personally I'd rather they just kept the Switch as their primary platform, they had an issue with releasing games consistently while supporting 3DS and Wii U. If they make a handheld, I'd rather it just be a smaller switch without removable Joy-Cons that's cross-compatible with all Switch titles rather than having any exclusives of it's own.

As for Xenoverse 2, I guess we knew it was coming for a while now. Finally good to see a date though
