Well, eggs are fine in Norway literally months after their expiration date (we don't have salmonella in Norway, but we still have to follow EU guidelines, so even though eggs are fine to eat, they have to be markes as expired really early). So I'm fine eating eggs even if they expired a month ago lol. If meat is stored in a fridge, it doesn't really matter, as long as it's only defrosted once, but I'm not sure if that would count?

With shelled eggs its pretty easy to tell if they are still edible or not all you have to do is do the float test.

Are there unshelled eggs? :-o

But why? I don't understand why he/she would do that!

Supposedly it's more tender as the tissue begins breaking down.  Sell-by date doesn't usually mean much, anyway, as retailers care more about how foods look.

With all red meats they add certain kinds of gasses to the package to make the meat look fresher then it actually is.

I'd be too scared to do that! I purposefully overcook things sometimes because I'm worried about getting sick.

Well in the US you can buy egg whites and scrambled eggs in small cartons but they are usually a lot more expensive then just buying regular eggs.

I don't eat products that are expired, I've had bad memories with eating snacks, them tasting weird, and then finding out they've been expired for years!! Gross!! So, I don't eat expired food.

This. And for the exact reason.

Most cheeses. As a rule of thumb they get better rather than worse and can last years if stored right.
Also pasta and other dried food. Obviously I check everything before I actually eat it, but some stuff just lasts.

They put expiry date also on aged cheese when it's packaged, because laws require it, but although when a cheese isn't anymore whole, but sliced or cut in pieces, it won't be able to age further for years, Parmigiano Reggiano and aged Pecorino are still better as old as they can still age, and Gorgonzola, Roquefort, Brie and Camembert are always better towards their expiry date or even a few days or even weeks after. Obviously only if correctly stored.
Stale bread, if not moldy, can still be eaten, and some recipes expressly require it.
Although with preserved fish it's better to avoid any risk, some say that good quality canned tuna in olive oil is tastier when close to its expiry date.

Nothing when it comes to food.

Absolutely nothing. I'm worried about this kind of thing all the time.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Probably no foods. They're either spoiled or stale. They're usually not much of a joy to eat...
