Which is what's mostly deterring 3rd parties to make games for the Switch. Why put in the work to make just one game for a specific device that's known to shun 3rd parties when you could do one game for a lot more and bigger platforms at the same time?

Also, apart from 1-2-Switch I haven't seen a single game on the Switch that's uniquely made for it. All of the games would work just as well on other consoles or PC.

You should take a look at Arms. And if you become selective and say "oh, you can also play it without motion controls". Yeah, that's true, but then it loses one of its main points (it was made to be more precise/fast than having to use analogs and it also has that curve effect that makes a difference). By that logic everything can run on PC, because in the vast majority of games you can remove important features and still have it playable. But then they are not the same and lose purpose. Some people do care about those differences/features.

Really? Pretending there aren't readily available motion controls for PC and PS4 that are a lot more accurate to boot? PC certainly isn't the gaming platform that is missing features.

And if ARMS is the only example people can come up with then I guess my point stands.

optimization or the heavy online nature of the game?

Probably abit of both.

As far as I know, the Joy Cons are more accurate than anything on PS. lol And even if they weren't... what's even the point? It being possible to be made on another platform mean nothing if the manufacturer doesn't bother making it or making games that take advantage of such features. Does Sony still make motion controls heavy games outside of VR garbage? I guess not. And are you really comparing native/included motion controls with that is available on PC, which is extremely niche?

You're better back to posting cynical posts. Or maybe this was just another very good one and I didn't noticed?

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

So you're completely backtracking? Good.

My post was answering another post that tried to argue that games are made uniquely for the Switch which isn't true. Not even Nintendo does it, probably because nothing on the Switch is unique to gaming.

Then you came and tried to prove me wrong, failed horribly and then pretended it doesn't matter anyway.

But what am I even talking talking a person who thinks the Joycon's accuracy is anywhere close to visually tracked motion controls like Move or Vive.

Its only a rumor

Wouldn't be surprised if it was cancelled or released as a mess. it had trouble running on PS4.

This is false, Switch does not do depth tracking, additionally they do not have any spatial awareness, only gyro/accelerometer, just like a regular smartphone.

My guess is that handheld mode will be bane for many games that potentially would be able to run in docked mode.

Drop it and make Child of Light 2 exclusive to it instead.

I sooooo want this game if they ever do it... I loved the first one... adventure/platformer/rpg with turn based battles.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Interesting. So is this game just poorly optimized all around?
