True, but Switch stocks problems are much bigger than they were for Wii in same time.

This is from just two days ago

I just don't get people sometimes...

Just pay the extra 10k for a scalper console on Amazon. So what if it costs more, 10k ain't that much, and then it will be delivered right to your door and you can start playing Mario Kart. Better than standing in a queue for hours with a good chance of coming away with nothing...

If I saw good, 10k is for used Switch, and 10k is almost two games, and some people dont want to pay scalpers so much for used console when they know what is official price.

But they also aren't willing to wait for there to be ample stock so they can pay official price and get their Switch there and then...

Just seems strange to me. I expect it would easily be more effecient to just work a minimum wage job during the hours they would be queuing and then use that to pay the extra scalper cost.

If I saw good 10k is for used Switch. Some people will wait in lines, some will wait for normal stocks, only small number of people is willing to pay so much to scalpers.

In any case, it seems this week on Amazon JP there are some bigger stocks available, after weeks of nothing.

Has there really never been an xbox system to make the 1m units mark in Japan? not even the X360 with it's JRPGs? I have to admit, that is pretty sad to see a nation so against what was a quality product like that primarily because of where it comes from, X360 deserved more respect than that.

On topic though, the Switch is a beast, just an absolutely great machine and I hope Nintendo sort their supply issues ASAP because it deserves to be selling more as there is literally people doing raffles for the chance of getting to buy one.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

I must admit, that's impressive, especially when it also released in March. I still think that Switch figures are excellent, considering that from that list DS, Wii and PSP, all released during holiday season. The first 12 months figure will show us very clear picture of the condition of Switch sales.

49 weeks for PS4 to reach 1 million? I remember reading in some thread back some years ago that PS4 was ahead of PS3 in Japan... Unless I remember wrong

It definitely wasn't ahead of PS3 in 1st year.

Sales were slow at first, it was behind ps3 at that moment. Now it's on the same level

Publishers took a really long time to adopt the PS4 and leave the PS3 behind. It's only very recently we started seeing PS4 exclusives from smaller developers. Before that it was PS3/PS4 for most Japanese games. That really slowed down sales early on.
