Seems to me that either Sony is undervalued, Nintendo overvalued or both. Anybody that invested in Nintendo pre-Switch launch should have made a very nice profit though!

Stockholders don't look at just the current numbers, in fact, current numbers are nigh irrelevant if the future prospects can make up for it. If stock holders believe Nintendo has more potential for future profits than Nintendo, then they'll value Nintendo's stock higher. (or rather, people buying the stock will pay more for it)
