It's an excuse. Oh well it doesn't matter. It'll compete for 2nd place

Nintendo doesn't need to compete. People don't view them the same way as they do the other two, therefore people will (if the product is appealing enough like the Switch is and the Wii/DS and 3ds were) buy it regardless of if they already have an xbox one or ps4.
