You contradict yourself.
Disc will be tied to a unique console but then in FAQ if it breaks down it is tied to your ID.
How will the disc know if my UNIQUE console broke down and I want to ru it on another one?

It sounds like the way the XB1 was, and I hated that! I don't want my physical copy of a game tied to a specific console or account.
How would you prevent people from reselling ripped copies then?

The only way you can tie it to an account will be through DRM. It would require an always online connection. |
No it would work the same way digital games do now. I have MKX Digitally and can play it without an internet connection.

The disc wouldn't work on other consoles. I assume the retailer will check the disc plays like they should do now. If not then their fault.

Then in this scenario don't do it. It's an option.
Also it's not the same way as you don't need to be always online.

You do what you do now if your console breaks and you have digital games like I said in the OP.
"What if your console breaks? The game will be tied to your network account so log in and download."
It's a choice, if you don't have a good or stable internet or your internet is on and off then don't do it. It's an option.

Then that completely defeats the purpose of physical. We just came full circle on microsofts thought process for the xb1 reveal. I'm not seeing the overwhelming benefit here over just going digital (except maybe for Uk users who have to pay higher for digital but that seems more like an exception) |
(It's an option, if you want to keep it physical then don't do it)
(Also MS was always online and there was no choice)

I highly doubt it'd be an option. It'd probably become mandatory, much like how for the XB1 it wasn't going to be an option.

I only assumed that because I hadn't seen the part in your OP where we couldnt resell the games. Offline DRM definitely is a thing so I get that. But what is the point in going physical at all of you can't resell? That's my question because that's the main benefit to physical, while the main benefit to digital is convenience. Your method is convenient, but no reselling.... So why not just go digital? It sounds like what you should be advocating for instead is the Uk to lower their digital prices lol
edit - I saw your previous reply, about this just being another option. no need to bother responding to this one. Just ignore
