Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What genre does Nintendo not have on the Switch yet

Hack&Slash (Bayonetta)

Probably a cinematic-esque action adventure like uncharted, although with those games being more heavy on graphical power (with solid gameplay mechanics) and giant set piece extravangazas, maybe the switch isn't the best home for one of those.

I'd say survival horror. I know Nintendo delves in Fatal Frame but I'm not sure that's survival. I'd enjoy seeing more mature, horror games on nintendo consoles

FPS (MP4 is announced) and Horror game.

Animal Crossing.

I guess light novel style games. I mean in Japan its even getting a touch only game so they've really covered a lot of bases. Shooters are missing but they are hit or miss anyways we can have a shooter but the age of shooters is at an end. Wait what if a shooter with joycon motion controls being the guns. We can have dual guns as well as if there are rifles and like we hold our two joycons in that manner to use them like the joycons are the points where we hold the guns. That would make the games much more fun. I really want a game with an archaeological storyline for some reason

Mario Kart barely qualifies as a full-fledge racing game, it's more of a karting battle game.

ARMS is not a fighting game either, it's a competitive ring game.

Also I'd say that genre don't really mater anymore, for exemple Playstation specialised in 3rd person cinematic adventure/action games, Nintendo specialised on well-crafted platform/adventure games.

I'm just missing an F-Zero, Warioland and a Star-Fox.
