If HALF LIFE 2 could run on the wii flawlessly, this isnt even an argument

I checked the PC requirments, and since its a port, no it cant run on the wii, it needs 256mb of ram, 1.2GHZ of processing power, and thats all I can say.

This is all if I cannot prove to you it cannot run HL2, and is barely more powerful than the XBOX then you are all in debt, after seeing how you guys said that the wii is capable of COD4 graphics, I wouldnt expect anything different with this situation.

^Yeah, I guess they'd have to really scale things down a bit with the *improved* source engine. There was a significant jump between ep1 and ep2.  It would be really hard to play TF2 without any voice/text chat though.

 

BUT-----Leo-j, computer minimum requirements DO NOT equal console minimum requirements. HL2 ran on the xbox1 with only a 700-something mhz similar-to-a-celeron processor.

Wow leo-j. XBOX=WII? Seriously since when have you known about computers, and graphics productions. The wii is at least 1.5 times more powerful than the xbox, and imo it is 3 times more powerful. I could back this up , but you wouldn't be able to understand.

Alterations can be made to the game and at the very least, the Wii can get Portal. Needless to say, it would be far easier to make this game work on the Wii then let's say RE5 or Star War Force unleashed.

This can easily be done on the Wii, not the current standard of other versions, but it can be done and will sell phenomenally well with the Wii's controls. They had no problem altering the level of gameplay between 360/PS3 and PC versions of the Orange box, I don't see why it can't be taken down another notch. Eitherway, its worth a try.

I agree, I already said I have my doubts about the Episodes. Portal is even less demanding than Half-Life 2 though, and it's perfectly suited for Wii IMO.

I believe that it can run Half-life 2, c'mon it runs on xbox, sure it had spotty framerate but wii seem above xbox. But how online will work since there's no voice chat, and friend codes, etc.

To be honest there's too many of treads, just my opinion.
I can understand that new resident 5 tread since the series was originally exclusive to the gamecube.

Not episode 2 of course.

The day an online petition will work is the day it have at least 8 billion signatures.

Never saw one working, though it must have worked before...

Yet that is on a pc, where you have , and operating system wearing the processes. Now you better half all of those for the wii. You also forget that the 1.2ghz processor is a pentium 3/celeron based processor, while a powerpc is the processor the wii has. The wii's power pc processor is far far far far far more efficient, allowing more of the power of it to be used , and you wouldn't need a high clock speed. So please leo-j stop with this post.

what developer? I've heard alot of developers say things about the Wii that have been proven wrong.
