It would be pretty embarrassing if it wasn't. Oh wait...it isn't.

...but most wished for is almost never referenced because of the way it updates (it seems to only track trends, not total additions to wishlists) and because not all potential or eventual customers use the wish list function. And for other reasons. It has always been the monthly and yearly charts that have been used as metrics since they have verifiable track records in predicting success and relative sales.
As of right now, the Switch with blue and red joycons are number one with the grey not far behind.
The Switch has two skus and one of them is in first at the time of this post.
XBox1 X is currently second with one sku, so this is not that impressive in the grand scheme considering that the wish list is the ONLY thing you can put it on.
It will sell decent out of the gate for sure, but I have a feeling it will fizzel out as people await the PS5. I know that I myself do not want a $500 console that plays the same games as my X1 and PS4 just to upgrade again when the PS5 comes out.
1 Switch Neon
2 PS4 slim
3 XB1X

That was short-lived. I'm very interested in the X but I'm a one console man. Sadly, I don't have time to play on two different consoles.

"A wish list or want list is an itemization of goods or services that a person or organization desires."
The key word is "desires".
