Forums - Nintendo - Next Nintendo Direct announcement?

Next Nintendo Direct Date

July 30 23.81%

August 48 38.10%

September 32 25.40%

October 11 8.73%

November 5 3.97%

Total:126

There will most likely be a Splatoon 2 Direct for July and then another Direct in August for Mario+Rabbids as well as a reminder that MHXX is a thing for the Japanese audiences.

Don't expect any Directs announcing anything new or detailing previous stark announcements until Summer is over.

Around the Network

Splatoon 2 is almost certainly getting a Direct, that might be in a lot of ways Nintendo's biggest release of the year (yes above even Mario).

Well, I'd hope that there's a Direct in a few months, to show off Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Metroid Prime 4 and Super Mario Odyssey. Well, at least Xenoblade and Mario, I'm not sure when they'll even have footage to show us for MP4. So, I'll say September.

Late July / August / Maybe September.

Hopefully about Virtual Console and that Online Subscription thing.

I don't think Nintendo has anything left for this year, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if there's a 3rd party or another indie focused Direct with some new stuff.

My main theory is beyond a Virtual Console or similar themed direct, Nintendo might use the directs to announce lower key remasters like what they did with Twilight Princess HD. Not something like Smash 4 Deluxe, but more low-key releases that fill in gaps that the console doesn't have.

Or even to build up for the 2018 year.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?
