Maybe, maybe not... but believe it or not there are people stupid enough to buy two versions of the same game for different content.

Heck there are people willing to buy the same game twice just to get less then a third of it early. (GT5P.)

I do think it might get people to buy a certain console if they don't have either... but I can't see Force Unleashed being one of those "must have" games like that.

Smackdown vs Raw did the same thing.  360 getting the best version.  Allowing you to use Custom songs for your entrances.  PS3 getting a first person entrance mode... and Wii getting different modes that probably sucked.

PS2 got... probably nothing... not gimped modes like the Wii though.  It's the version I have... eh I just play Fire Pro though.

Or some people buy the exact same game twice ( Pokemon ) 

Common , buying two copys of a game for a fan is not a big deal  , especially if it has some extra content . Would I do it ? Probably not , but I know a couple of my friends have replayed GTA : SA on the PC afther they had finished the PS2 version just to have better performance ...
