This is what I've noticed about Nintendo fans since I started surfing internet gaming websites about Nintendo fans that is NOT applicable to PlayStation, Xbox and PC gamers. These aren't all negative or positive, the company should be held upto some of these standards but on others I can agree with them. They are:
They don't complain about hardware capability of their system and its price to performance ratio.
Because specs don't matter.
They don't complain about lack of big AAA third party games on their Nintendo platform and are willing to spend more on another entirely different platform for that rather than wanting everything on that one platform.
It would be nice, there is no denying, but it's not the end all be all. See the next bulletpoint for further elaboration. 3rd party games are received worse because Nintendo's quality on average is very high and only few other games series / developers reach that level.
They don't mind having only a few new games to play every year.
Stop believing that we only play on ONE system and do never touch anything else! If I even wanted some generic 3rd party games I have a PS4 right here under the TV but I simply like the Switch much much much more.
They don't mind paying for ports of Nintendo games that are three years old and that they already own. (This could apply to PlayStation fans as well but only in case of Naughty Dog games)
You probably should have skipped that point entirely.
They are highly excited for almost any game that is made by Nintendo because its made by Nintendo and looks fairly decent.
Look, we all like different things. To say all Nintendo games love everything is just bullshit. Me, I don't like Animal Crossing yet a whole lot of other fans do. Because Nintendo's franchises are sooooo diverse, there is a chance that something will always find it's fans. Even Federation Force.
They like portable gaming as much as gaming on a TV or monitor.
Well, why not.
They don't mind a lack of content, or don't perceive a less than 50 hour long game as a short game.
The Order 1886 says hi.
They prefer PIXAR like graphics over realistic graphics.
No they just don't value realistic graphics as important as other fanbases do and they also understand that most Nintendo games don't even NEED realistic graphics in the first place. If they wanted realistic graphics, they have their other consoles under their TVs like I have.
They prefer gameplay simplicity and accessibility over depth.
Define depth, please. Are AssCreed games known for deep gameplay? Or COD? Or God of War? And it's not simplicity, it's something else. A little piece of game design philosophy that can be found in a shit ton of Nintendo games: games must be easy to learn, yet hard to master. Nintendo has mastered this to perfection.
They are less critical of their company of choice over any issue and the criticism that comes from them for their preferred company is more constructive and doesn't consist of blanket statements.
Same goes to everyone else.
They like playing retro games more than others.
Same goes to everyone else (because for the massive outcries over backwards compatibility, or rather the lack thereof).
They almost only discuss Nintendo games and not any third party games even when they do have other platforms to play most third party games that they say they bought to play those third party games.
This is just a generalization without merit.
Edit: These are based on comments on various sites, discussions and buying habits I've noticed. Rather than spewing hate for some of the statements that you don't agree with come up with a rational reply.
