April Fools?
MS would never (or should never) adpot Blu-Ray. IF they don't adpot blu-ray it may kill them , granted. IF they do adobt blue ray it'll
-Piss Off the 18 million Non-Blu-ray XBOX users
-Increase the growth of Blu-Ray (Sony wins through royalties)
-Make the 360 even more expensive
Although if it is released as an add on problems 1 & 3 will be not as problematic , although everyone knows the "Add-ons" are never as succesfull as integrated functionaility.

Man, I shouldn't be teaching you something so basic but hey I feel generous today. Most websites revenue is based on the number of hits (visitors to the website) they get. Posting extravagant and outrageous stories will get you hits, just like newspapers increase sales whenever they have flashy, exagerated news. Something like "ORANGE JUICE CAUSES CANCER" will sell newspapers. "XBOX360 GOING OFF THE MARKET" will make people click the link, go to their website and increase smarthouse.com wallet. For your info, the smarthouse has already stated that the ps4 would be released in 2008, that microsoft has already switched to blueray and other equally false news to generate hits. That's their business: scandalous stories get them visitors and they get money from the visitors. FYI what they have on that website isn't a report, it's just a brief piece that can take just a few minutes to write. Finally, you can't call people fanboys just because they shoot down FALSE stories even if they are good to your side of the console war. Neither the 40gb ps3's have a 40% failrate (as some websites reported) nor the 360 is being dropped in australia. Happy now? |
re-read my post, if they wanted hits they should have posted something that was ACTUALLY outrageous, like the 360 outselling the PS3 in Japan, this is hardly a strech and won't gain them anything. k?
360 Australia sales
Week ending March 29, 2008: 4228
Week ending March 31, 2007: 1723
It's dead.
Recent interview with Xbox Product Marketing Manager Jeremy Hinton:
I would like to say... BKK2 seems like he researches before he posts.
The chances of him posting a bogus article seems slim.
The 360 is up over last year I think. They are just up less then the PS3 and Wii. The 360 sells, and sells well. No one is getting rid of it.
I also love that response to the interview.
"Naw we aren't angry that we are loosing because we are going increase sales more than the other guys"
Well, I can't vouch for the authenticity of the article's sources. It just got emailed to me by Google alerts because it mentioned GfK and I thought it would be fun watching fanboys arguing about it here.
Seriously, I don't see this happening. Like dsoverpsp said "While the GC was doing bad, nobody dropped the machine"
It just doesn't seem like the kind of thing that is going to happen.
