Man, I shouldn't be teaching you something so basic but hey I feel generous today. Most websites revenue is based on the number of hits (visitors to the website) they get. Posting extravagant and outrageous stories will get you hits, just like newspapers increase sales whenever they have flashy, exagerated news. Something like "ORANGE JUICE CAUSES CANCER" will sell newspapers. "XBOX360 GOING OFF THE MARKET" will make people click the link, go to their website and increase smarthouse.com wallet. For your info, the smarthouse has already stated that the ps4 would be released in 2008, that microsoft has already switched to blueray and other equally false news to generate hits. That's their business: scandalous stories get them visitors and they get money from the visitors. FYI what they have on that website isn't a report, it's just a brief piece that can take just a few minutes to write. Finally, you can't call people fanboys just because they shoot down FALSE stories even if they are good to your side of the console war. Neither the 40gb ps3's have a 40% failrate (as some websites reported) nor the 360 is being dropped in australia. Happy now? |
re-read my post, if they wanted hits they should have posted something that was ACTUALLY outrageous, like the 360 outselling the PS3 in Japan, this is hardly a strech and won't gain them anything. k?
