I don't own an xbox, I'm not saying that Switch users should pay, I'm saying that imo I think games that have cross-platform with other consoles should be free on xbox too.

Can't really agree. It's either all games or no games that should be free unless there's a something really special about the game's multiplayer. Consistency is often the key, and I think it's the key in this case as well.

Free to Play games already don't require PS+ (I assume it's same with Gold) on consoles there's already precedant for certain games not needing it.

Hmm, odd. Anyway, that's still a pretty clear distinction from other games. It's harder to recognize a game with cross-platform multiplayer. Also, a free-to-play game is quite different from a regular game which just happens to have cross-platform multiplayer.

Not too surprising, but a bit odd indeed

I'm assuming that you don't need Gold, but when Nintendo's paid online comes out, then you would need that then

This seems odd.....

But MS won't use those figures in their PR-moments.

Phil said so when he was 16 years old and we can all trust him.

He hates fanboys, timed exclusives, AAA-games and loves the competition.

I feel like Minecraft lost it's soul when it went from Mojang to Microsoft. There's just something... idk... corporate feeling about it now.
