Forums - Gaming Discussion - Forced PS4 Pro and Xbox One X parity between games shot down by Sony

I'm not sure why people (including MS themselves) were building XOX to be this invincible thing. It's a $500 game console. It's going to have its limitations. The chinks in the armor are already showing. There really nothing to blame but the hardware. Still, it's a much better system than the predecessor. If that's what you want, go get it. It's just time to keep expectations in check.

So you think Sony CAN force parity on games on other systems?

How do they do that?

Magic. And a really high Intimidate check. Seriously, who would expect Activision to tell the Xbox fanbase that playing on the X gives you a huge advantage over regular Xbox plebes? That's an obvious landmine they're avoiding.

lol, sure Sony.

Praise the One.

Not there is much to force with a minimal upgrade anyway.

So you are one of those people who think that a game like Destiny 2 would run like this:

PS4, PS4Pro, XB1, XB1S - 30FPS

XB1X - 60FPS  ??

Could you explain why it would benefit Bungie to do that as it would put players on the same ecosystem (XB1, XB1S, XB1X) in multiplayer matches with two different framerates on consoles?

Sony says it’s not forcing parity between PS4 Pro and Xbox One X games despite rumors.

This was never a rumor until Spencer got asked and answered in a way that insinuated there was forced parity. There's not, he's just being an asshole pandering to his toxic fanbase. Xb1s is the lowest common denominator, that's holding everything else back beyond any other single factor.

What are you referring to here?

Has anyone stopped to think that 60fps would give XBO-X players a significant advantage over all other players of the platform, and that's why it's kept at 30fps?

No?

No?

That kind of logic (which I pointed out a couple responses up and agree with completely) doesnt fit the console war narrative.

Destiny is 30fps on xbox one x because they don't want an unfair advantage.
