We all know why MS suddenly is a big champion of cross play and why Sony doesn't allow it: they sold 60 million consoles in 3.5 years, they don't wanna share their pie with Microsoft and Nintendo. Why would Sony allow other platforms to benefit from its gigantic pool of players, when its another reason for people to choose PS4.

I dont have sympathy either, Phil Spencer should do a better job at selling more Xboxes and expanding his player base.

1) Their are a lot of threads use the search function, also news tend to be posted in the Xbox empire about updates/new gameplay modes etc.

2) PC Has more than 25 million MC players/Ipad Had more than 20 million, Xbox one + Switch probably has between 5-10 million That's atleast 50 million Mc players in Crossplay and you talk about a minority share? 

 

3) Worst part is ofcourse that you defend it, their are literally kids/teens who have it on PS4 who would love to play it with their classmates with crossplay on PC/Ipad other devices and they can't, and you say that is good?

With cross-play, the player pool for non-PS Minecraft will include PC players, X1 players, Switch players, mobile players, and VR players base on https://www.pcgamesn.com/minecraft/minecraft-windows-10-cross-play

All of these combined might be about 60 million users, if not more, rivaling or surpassing the amount of PS4 owners there are.

If Nintendo and MS did as good as Sony they might have the luxury of the biggest playerbase on the third party online titles. Sony actually let's pc cross play but as someone said they owe Nintendo and MS nothing.
