I want to be excited but nope they westernized and casualized it. I feel like most of the hype surrounding it so far is from people that have always thought it looked cool but they skip it because is exclusive to Nintendo or the PSP. As a monster hunter fan it looks like they're dumbing it down

It felt wrong for me, I think the ones who never played one are not convinced to get it because of the trailer. Also kind of funny they show of a game where you hunt but then they show SoTC where hunting is amazing and more impressive.

Oh well Capcom can try, I think I will try it out.

Tbh, I don't see why this game wouldn't be doable on the Switch. It doesn't look technically impressive. I'm still excited about this game, and I can't wait to see what it can bring to the saga. This game and that SotC remake made the Sony's E3 for me.

I think the same, after so many MH exclusive for Nintendo one MH for the other fanbases is cool, personally I think this looks like it will be dumbed down from the original games and not sure if the open world is gonna be a plus or a minus, it depends a lot how they make it, but its an interesting spin off and it could work, I may get it on PC, then I expect MH5 to be announced for Switch (and maybe more consoles) next year.

Yep, basically this. I think Capcom is trying to attract new audiences to the MH saga with this game. Specially in the West, because of the open world element, which I think we can say it's pretty much in everything nowadays, and with, probably, a more simplified combat. We don't know a lot yet about the game, but that'd be my guess. It's a day one for me, that's for sure. I intend to buy MHXX Switch too, so those are enough MH for a while xD.

This is clearly a gigaton. Sony has made themselfs a sweet deal. Some aspects of it look good. It is open world without different areas that have loading screens between them? That would be fucking awesome.

This not coming to Switch is a major decision.

Don't be mad. It's not my fault that the main MH market is in Japan. In fact, for a ww release, Capcom is expecting to sell 2m in a 100m userbase. A similar number to XX, the expansion of an expansion released only in Japan for 3DS.

The trailer looked amazing to me, I was a huge MH Tri fan. What is this discussion about it being casualized about? Where do you guys get that the game has dumbed down combat and regenerating health? Impossible to extract that from the trailer...

I cant understand why 3veryone praises and loves Monhun
