And people say Nintendo isn't holding games back with their weak hardware. Looks pretty cool.

But this game isn't technically impressive for PS4 and Xbone...

it's well within reach of the Switch.  Yeah, it's stronger than the 3DS but of course it is, the 3DS is old.

Let's see how well within reach it is for the Switch.

With the low homeconsoles userbases comoared to portables? Good luck.

That's why the main series became portable in the first place.

By the time this game is released the PS/XB userbase will be 100+ million and the PC in the hundreds of millions.  Seems like a cool time to tap that market.

60.4m (PS4) + 29.6m (XB1) = 90m

64.6m (3DS) + 15.5m (Vita) + 3.5m (NS) = 85.6m

90m < 85.6m?

Both of you are joking, right?

Main market is in Japan. Now let's do the sum:

23m vs 5m

Not even close.

Why not... you know... just make all of it a multiplat, that way everyone can play any of the games in whatever console they want.

Let's be real:

Games are more enjoyable when you know that they aren't available on Nintendo.

They certainly are when you know they aren't exclusive to Nintendo or any other potato box for that matter.

This game look whack to me, but I heard other people like it.

Luckily for Capcom they are looking to expand, alot more than what Nintendo has been able to do with MH in the west.

It's really not hard to see. It has some nice aspects, some cool particle effects, but on the whole it's nice but nothing amazing.

Boooo, hissss, whine!

Well, this will finally test if a home console is a good place for Monster Hunter.

If this doesn't sell phenomenally, it will be on handhelds forever.

Yeah. With a non-mainline game. Testing the waters.

For those wondering if this is Monster Hunter 5, how well do consoles (PS4, and ESPECIALLY Xbox One) sell in Japan?
How well do handhelds or mobile-like systems (Switch) sell in Japan?
Where is Monster Hunter's main audience?
There's your answer.
