There's a joke here somewhere about Microsoft being a bigger third-party supporter of the Switch than EA is, but actually it's not a joke it's somehow reality.

Sony should join this program.

I think it is great how Microsoft always reaches out to Nintendo, though I'm sure they still hope to buy them at some point. All good things for gamers though. Why fight at every turn when there is mutual benefit?

This is technically great news, but at the same time all the talk about unification makes me really, really worried about the future of the original game (the so-called Java version). The other versions seem heavily monetized and relatively closed compared to the original game, so I see the original as the superior version. I'm sure it's not going anywhere any time soon, but I'm also looking at the more distant future where its fate might not be so bright.

This is great news really. Was hoping for this for a long time.

I bought Minecraft on my Switch... I wonder if I'll get the Mario themes usable on other devices... I doubt it of course, but it would be really amazing...
