Bwahaha! That's a joke right?  The PS4 is still outpacing the PS2.  Sure, I don't think it will last forever, but 100M is a given.  Sony actually lowballed their shipments for this fiscal year, so it'll probably be at 80M by March of next year.  Before 2018 is up they'll be past the PS3's ~87M.  Sorry, but it is going to pass the Wii.

I found that comment funny as well. Whether stemming from PS disdain or just ignorance, it was a ridiculous, blatantly inaccurate statement.

Ps4 need to sell at least 40 million. PS5 is on the corner. Even PS4 lasting to 2019, 40 million in 2 years? I think not.

Good job they have more than 2 years then forecast for this fiscal year is 18m shipped... So if ps5 launches Nov 2019...


March 2018 - 78m (18m shipped)

March 2019 - 93m (15m shipped)

March 2020 - 103m (10m shipped)


Should pretty comfortably outsell wii., Won't just drop to 0 sales when ps5 launches either, should ship units in the following two years also.

Yeah, I really don't understand why Sony sees the PS4 dropping by 2 million this FY. It's the first full year with the Slim and Pro. I can see it remain flat.



Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.
