Better idea; get a Switch. Vastly superior system with a long and bountiful life ahead of it.

Have you bought a Switch yet?

Not yet, but I probably will eventually, once it has a bunch of games I want.

I checked out the Halo release week, and the first few months after launch.  It didn't outsell the PS4 any of those weeks, so I doubt it did at any point.

To be fair though, we never had a 2 month old XBone against a 4.5 year old PS4.

But the PS4 is at it's peak, currently. The fact that the Switch is going toe to toe with it while also having stock issues is impressive.

Thats like being impressed when the newly launched PS5 is outselling a 3 year old Switch. Its the new kid on the block, its gonna sell big for a few months or year. Software line up is still too garbage for most to even consider picking up tho.

PS4 holding steady considering all things, makes me wonder if its even competing for the same audiance?

Out of curiosity: did XB1 ever outsell PS4 by 2:1 like Switch this week?

PS4 released 3.5 years ago

Ds is a hendheld

As is Switch...

nope. check wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Switch

Type: Hybrid video game console

"Nintendo considers the Switch a "hybrid" console; it is designed primarily as a home console, with the main unit inserted onto a docking station to connect to a television."

Wii U, 3DS, and XOne beg to differ.

Then we've definitely never had a 2 month old XBone against a 4.5 year old PS4, did we :p

We can only hope that's because you forgot MK8D was releasing this week. :L

Those NA numbers are way off. We already know from the NPD and Nintendo itself that the month was Switch a bit above 280k, PS4 somewhere above 200k and the X One at around 127k.

Honestly it's for the best that it dies, so that more support can go to Switch, a machine that has a long future ahead of it.

Yes, hopefully studios currently working on 3DS games will move development to the Switch, that you might have more games to compare unfavorably to Shenmue.
