Wouldn't mind a Lovecraftian Souls game

You have a game called Bloodborne and that's pretty much as close as it gets.

Yeah, The Surge is solid. It's cool to see a Souls-like in a sci-fi setting. What else? Maybe a Souls-like during the Roman campaigns in Britain? Maybe in what's modern-day Scotland?

We are born of the Blood.

Made Men by the Blood.

Undone by the Blood.

Our Eyes have yet to open.

Fear the Old Blood.

By the gods Lawrence, fear it.

And one of my favourite quotes:

"Grant us eyes, grant us eyes. Plant eyes on our brains, to cleanse our beastly idiocy."

So that we may see that From Software and Japan studio's are working on Bloodborne 2

Holy shit this looks amazing!

Nice thread by the way. I would love a Souls game in a Nordic/viking setting. Feudal Japan would be awesome as well.

Bolded: That's pretty much Nioh isn't it?

OT: Ancient Mexican (Aztec) gods required sacrifices to mantain their power, so dying over and over again could be turned into an interesting game mechanic/lore element in such game.

they made it. It is a game called Bloodborne.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

What I´d really like is a horror sci-fi Souls... it´d take place in a huge derelict spacecraft, with the levels cleverly interconnected like the world of Lordran in Dark Souls 1, while also borrowing from H. R. Giger designs

Since Nioh already did Japan I guess the only interesting setting would be Aztec. Africa could be cool too. A lot of deities and lore there.
