Forums - Nintendo - Switch Pro Controller is Nintendo's best controller ever.

It took 16 years, but Nintendo has finally made a controller better than the Gamecube controller. I have been using the Pro controller to play BotW and it really is a joy to use. I have it right up there with the DS4(which i considered the controller ever made for any console), while the pro lacks analog shoulder buttons it makes up for it with excent analog sticks and a slightly better ergonomic design (at least for my hands). It also has superiour battery life to the DS4. Right now I see them as neck and neck and it will take alot more playtime to finally deside which I prefer.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Agreed.

I agree. I never used a Sony controller much, but for a Nintendo controller, it's the best .

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Glad to hear that. I can't wait to put my hands on them.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I've honestly never had any issue with any controller ever except for the huge original XBox controller. I've never understood why people always go on about some controllers being better than others. They're all about the same to me.

Wii and WiiU Pro controllers felt incredibly cheap and clunky.

Now to add on to my OP I like the Joy pad for what it is, it works well in handfeld mode, and like the the fact it turns into 2 controllers for simple games (like mario kart).

But to me the pro controller is what turns the switch into a full on console. Playing the switch with the pro controller on TV I completely forget at times that it is portable capable.

I'm honestly impressed with how comfortable the Switch joypad (I guess that's what the joycon combo is called) feels. And the Wiimote+Nunchuk combo was fine to me too: RE4 Wii showed exactly how to make use of the pointer and wag function.

I agree though, the Switch pro controller is solid.

Best controller I have used. Period. It really fits perfect in my hands combined with the batterylife it's just a winner.

Nintendo has made both the best and worst (N64) mainstream controllers. The deadlast spot is shared with original Xbox controller though.

I like the GC one, but I dont think it's as good as so many think it is.

I also like how the DS4 feels in my hand but the lack of batterytime is absolutely a turn off for me, otherwise it would be up there just behind the Xbox One, 360 and Wii U Pro Controller. But in terms of comfort the DS4 is great.

People said that too about the Wii U. I'll be the judge of that.

I can agree with this, it's a very nice controller indeed.
