Chances are, as an emerging technology and in its current state, it will fail. Does this mean it does not have the chance to be a success? Absolutely not, we live in a world of rapid technological advancement and emerging market trends, anything can happen.

Secondly, please tell me what my opinion on PS Now is since you're so keen to put words into my mouth.

Well technically he said that your opinion of PS Now whether positive or negative is not reliable, because you haven't tried playing a shooter via PS Now. Azuren probably had negative experiences with PS Now. Also like Azuren I am not a big fan of games as a service, but it could be the future. Not one I would like as a gamer but still a possibility. As for technological advancement we had that the last decades yet gaming in its core didn't change to much outside things getting bigger, more beautiful and everything having online and dlc.

Whether or not I've tried PS Now is irrelevant to the discussion and is frankly a poor way to dismiss the argument. In the mid 1990s there was a service called the Sega Channel which allowed you to download games off the internet and play them on your Genesis, which should sound familiar. The quality of such a service in 1995 does not compare to the quality of service now.

Could the same happen for streaming? Who knows, but to dismiss it entirely is a strange position to hold.

I really hate when people try to pass their opinions on games as objective facts, like "x game is bad and if you like it you have bad taste" or "x game is better than y game and if you think the opposite you'll get bashed/you're not a true fan, etc." That kind of stuff is not that common in this particular forum but it happens very frequently in certain other forums.

Many people on here have extremely terrible grammar and spelling (similar to middle school-level), which makes it difficult for me to care about/follow/listen to any of their arguments.

Rules:

Should/could/would HAVE, not "of"
It's = it is or it has, which does not indicate possession (e.g. Sega and ITS systems are my favorite)
You're = YOU ARE
Your = yours, as in possession (e.g. it is your house, of which you're the owner)
etc. etc.

Call me pedantic, but anyone over the age of 13 should be comfortable with this stuff.

Hahaha I know. It's bad. I really really needed to purge. I think I have a grammar-related disorder.

Hi

I hate metal music and metal fans. It all dates back to secondary school.

When a school dance would happen, there was always this group of the weird/socially awkwards who would sit off in the side and just stare the whole time, they were all guys who would not dance with girls, but would make rude comments about girls to each other. Then when the Metallica sandman song would come on, they would get up and start dancing with each other, only guys, and they would move this way and that in the most absurd manner. Some of them would start screaming/growling to the music in very ugly, angry, ear-pinching tones, like they were screaming at their mothers for grounding them or taking away their videogames. They sounded like imbeciles.

So that is what I have come to associate metal with, and why I do not like it. I associate it with ugly.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Well, I'm planning on making the official heavy metal thread, so you'll love me

What I would like is for him to try to back that fucking nonsense up. The brow furrowing would be observable from space.

Sony leeches off the gaming industry so they can push their latest media format. They could have just stayed in the music/film business but because they're greedy rats they wanted everything. MS just wants to make their OS and leave everyone else alone but the bastards at Sony forced MS into the console business because greedy guts wanted the PC market. Nintendo just wants to make genre and industry defining games but they constantly have Sony copying at every turn and moneyhatting and doing all the other bullshit they brought to gaming.

Apple's taken Sony's music business, MS successfully defended their OS market, there's no more new shitty disks  for Sony to push thanks to streaming/downloads. All that's left is for Nintendo to kick them out of console gaming and they've already completed phase 1 - killing the PSP.
