Well LoD was definitely a FF 7 wannabe and Sony seeing the result promised square they would never blight the Jrpg landscape with another one, and to show how bad it was they not only made good on this promise, the kept making reparations for years, their 25% stake in square was  to show enix they where behind Square and they would never again risk the well being of Jrpgs  by allowing LoD to be seen has  anything more than a mistake , that action enabled the merged  Square enix we have today, so you see no price was considered to high.

They decided not to sack Shu mainly because he pledged to ignore any deluded  effort to call for Lod 2 and it was no hassle to delete the 3 emails a year or maybe 6 with BraLoD spamming, but to make absolutley sure they gave him an admin post where the worst damage he could do was not to publish demon souls in the West.

There are only two types of people that game exclusively on PC.

1. The early 20's douchebag who only plays AAA multiplats, and knows nothing about video games because he is too young. He's too shallow to try out any game made before he turned 16, and will forever be a clueless idiot. In addition to this he usually has godawful taste in games, proclaiming mediocre nonsense like Payday, to be a "good" game.

2. The early 30's douchebag who has a wife, kids, and a career. He used to play fun games on other systems, but has long lost touch with the rest of the gaming community. He only gets to play about five to ten hours a week, thanks to his shitty workaholic lifestyle.  He thinks he needs a $300,000 house, a brand new SUV, and a PC that costs over $2000. His wife is a fat ugly hog, and he isn't much better. He too only plays AAA multiplats, and has no clue about most of the gaming industry.

Both types of people ironically refer to themselves as "Master Race", despite being a piss poor excuse of a gamer.

Both types of people are amazed by graphics improvements that move at a snails pace compared to yesteryear. 

Both types of people spend more time on internet forums than they do actually playing games.
