You dont need PSplus to play it, so the only "subscription" you need is the one for the MMO itself.

Also its a MMO.... the game wouldnt work as a single player game.

Its the best PVE focused mmo on the market, so if your into MMOs and dont care about pvp'ing too much, you should def. give it a shot.

I always did love the combat in it when i tried the betas like 5 times, the PVE was great. I couldn't care for the story or the mindless questing, really anything beyond the combat. I'm also not huge on subscription models, like I already pay for RuneScape sub and I wouldn't want to add another one on top of it.
