Miyamoto wanted this more than Paper Mario: Actual RPG with New Characters?

I'm honestly of the opinion that someone in Ubisoft approached with the idea and Nintendo felt like Hyrule Warriors and Pokken T. were good ideas they should keep doing
The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?
Well I'm already sold on it, Rabbids are hilarious and it already sounds like it's better then what Nintendo has been doing with a certain plumber's RPG series of late. Plus it has co-op, so it's another game I can play with the sis.
Somehow I don't think Nintendo would allow the word "ass" in any game with Mario..
Wait...So when Square pitched Mario with a Sword...in a world almost devoid of technology...they shot it down. Ubisoft gives Mario a damn arm canon and it's okayed...
What?
This is so messy that it's kinda interesting.

The part where it says "Control of Tuttorio (no direct control of heroes)" sounds pretty anti-hype for me.
It looks interesting, I guess...
But going off topic, Wasn't Ubisoft full of love for Switch, making passionate speeches before it's announcement? You could at least expect a software support consistent with that. So far the NS received the usual just dance, a exclusive game that the quality is so far unknown and an old Port (steer). not even a South Park version...
We reap what we sow
Considering how dead mario & luigi and paper mario are, im expecting this to revive mario rpgs.

Two big Mario games only a few months apart doesn't seem like a great idea. They may be different in terms of gameplay, but still, franchise fatigue is a thing.
