But I assume you can actually communicate with one, and you can use the same reasoning to get them to fix my name.

They'll never let you change it! You must always stay as Einsam_Delphin!

Most likely as I know they hate me but I figured I'd atleast try.

Not sure what Ultra smash is, but Color Splash isn't bad in its concept, but rather the execution of that concept (cards replacing battling, mainly), where as amiibo festival was just bad in concept and so was star fox zero. There are plenty of redeemable parts of Color Splash (it is pretty funny, I liked the paint part of the game, I really enjoyed the soundtrack because of how different it felt from other games, and some other things), where as NOTHING and I mean NOTHING was good about Star Fox zero (the same ol' story, completed in 2 hours or less, with barely better visuals than Assault, and hardly nothing changed about the combat which made it feel like an arcade game). Zero was an embarrassment to Platinum and Nintendo and doesn't seem like any effort was given there.

Mario Tennis Ultra Smash, was revealed and released alongside amiibo Festival.

If I could just play Zero without motion controls I would actually like the game overall. Gyrowing and Walker would still suck, but the otherwise classic Starfox gameplay is greatly appreciated. The unchanged gameplay since SF64 is actually how I know I'd like it because I enjoyed SF64. I had replayed it before Zero launched to make sure it wasn't just nostalgia.

I never understood the hate this game got. I sold my Wii U awhile back but always wanted this game. Hopefully it gets a switch port this year as I'd love to play it once I get a switch.

People bashing CS gameplay which is 90% same as any other Paper Mario entry gameplay. I got it.
Combat in this series was always almost pointless, sometimes even annoying (thanks to horrible backtracking parts of TTYD, for example). Color Splash give you very intuitive hints for what items you need for the next chapter, so no problems here. Steak bossfight one of the best in the series, simply genious.

People who only watched playthroughs also missed huge part of U pad stuff, especially eManual stuff.

The game looked and sounded good, but the gameplay was horrible. There were like 5 steps just to execute a basic jump attack. Absolutely ridiculous. And once again, without any kind of RPG leveling system, there was no reason to battle, save for those stupid little things to increase the amount of paint you could have. A mechanic which ALSO got old. Why can't they just go back to the original 2 games and prioritize story and unique characters and environments over trying to do something 'unique' with the battle system that nobody wants. Don't 'fix' what wasn't broken. I still blame Super Paper Mario for the direction the series has gone in. It's a shell of its former self. Miyamoto too, for telling Intelligent Systems to only have Toads as NPCs and that all other types of Mario characters had to be enemies. Cause that eliminated partners right there. Guy needs to retire, or focus ONLY on Pikmin and leave the other developers alone. And the dumb lady in charge of Paper Mario needs to understand that it would be OKAY for there to be TWO Mario RPG series. Paper Mario, and the other one, which has always ONLY been on handhelds and never quite as good as the first two Paper Mario games, which were ONLY on console.

Einsam, do you have a link to the interview or wherever they said they were dropping the Sticker Star gameplay?

Lol, Paper Mario would wish to have the same critical acclaim and the sales that M&L had with Superstar Saga and Bowser Inside Story.

Lol, the sales for both series are nearly identical, even though Paper Mario 1 and 2 were on consoles that only sold 20-30 million (N64 and Gamecube), while Mario & Luigi were on the much-better-selling handhelds (GBA and DS). Also, Paper Mario 1 and 2 averaged 93 and 87 for review scores according to Metacritic. The two M&L games you mentioned both average a 90, so again, nearly identical. The problem is, the existence of M&L, and Miyamoto's meddling, has made Paper Mario lose its identity as a RPG and a true successor series to Super Mario RPG. And for the record, as bad as Paper Mario has gotten, M&L has gotten even worse. Dream Team and Paper Jam are abysmal games. Tutorials for new stupid gameplay gimmicks 40 hours into the game?! No thanks. And at least Paper Mario still looks and sounds nice. All I want is a leveling system back so there's actually a reason to fight rather than wasting stickers or cards/paint, no pointless gimmicks in the battle system, and partner characters and NPCs other than stupid Toads everywhere.

Upcoming Games To Get

Definite: Kirby Star Allies (Switch), Mario Tennis Aces (Switch), Fire Emblem (Switch), Yoshi (Switch), Pokemon (Switch), Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4), Monster Hunter World (PS4)

Considering: Fe (Switch), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Switch), The World Ends With You (Switch), Ys VIII (Switch), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4), Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remix (PS4), The Last Guardian (PS4), Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS4), Anthem (PS4), Shenmue 3 (PS4), WiLD (PS4)

It's not what i want from Paper Mario (i miss Super Paper Mario), but i still thought Colour Splash was a pretty fun game. It's got some great art if nothing else, including some bizarrely high quality graphical sequences thrown in for no specific reason :p

Game is great. I enjoyed it a lot.

Intel Core i7 8700K | 32 GB DDR 4 PC 3200 | ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming | RTX 3090 FE| Crappy Monitor| HTC Vive Pro :3

Less then 1-2-Switch though.

So many games doomed to the "did worse than 1-2-Switch" category, truly horrifying.

I played the originals, Thousand Year Door was one of my favourites GC games and I don't like Sticker Star at all but I liked Color Splash, you know why? because I actually played it and discover it was a lot of fun, next time you are gonna question other people standarts play the game first, because there is no lower standard than judging from complete ignorance.

Please do not pretend your opinion about Color Splash is a fact just because you played TTYD. I played all of the Paper Mario games, but Color Splash was such a piece of trash that I stopped playing after 10-15h. Yes the presentation is good, the graphics are gorgeous and the music isn't bad, but all of those things don't make a game good. Gameplay is what makes a game good.

My problems with CS:

- Battles have no point. You waste paint and good cards on weak enemies and gain worse cards back

- Battles are slow due to the many steps required for only one attack even with advanced settings on

- Hammer upgrades are useless as you can get paint anywhere in the game (somebody at GameXplain easily finished the game without any hammer upgrades)

- Story is boring and predictable and has a big plothole: Bowser throws the Stars away while he needs them for the final battle

- ToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToadsToads

- Boss battles require no skills: only guessing which card to use at the right time. Because of this they are either extremely easy (if you know what card to use) or impossible (if you don't know which card to use)

- Puzzles lack patterns. You randomly need to notice rectangular shapes to use cards. Sometimes they work and sometimes not, which doesn't make any sense. Scissor mechanic is dependent on distance and perspective, while some puzzles logically can be solved from multiple perspectives

- A severe lack of variety in enemy design. They even use Shy Guys and Koopa's as good AND bad guys! This caused me to jump on good guys and trying to talk with bad guys. Emberassing!

- Reason for me to stop playing: the stupid quiz minigame requires you to have the right card in your deck. So even if you know the answer, you can't answer it right. Like this: ''The answer is B!'' - ''Do you have a B-button on your table?'' - ''No'' - ''Then your answer is wrong YOU GET NOTHING!''. I even missed a card when buying from the Shy Guy (which I thought was a bad guy at first).

The first 3 Paper Mario's did everything better than the last two. The sales and reviews prove this. You can't call me a troll for having so many legitimate issues with the downgraded Paper Mario's.

The big question is will 1-2 Switch surpass Knack.

I believe most Paper Mario fans can agree that the series has been in decline since the 3DS version.  One can only hope that Nintendo will stop using bs gimmicks in the Paper Mario series and return to traditional form with the Switch version.  I'm still forcing myself through the 3DS version recently after dropping it a few years ago after a foul distaste.
