Eleanor Cousland from the Human Noble prologue in Dragon Age: Origins kind of kicked ass. She was a relatively old lady that joins your party and chastizes you (her son/daughter) if you tell her not to fight, as she says she's been fighting for quite more years than you. She eventually stays behind to protect your father and give you a chance to survive; quite awesome if you ask me.

I kinda like the Undertale mom.
