Hardly a bold claim at all if anything that should be the normal view until proven wrong based on the evidence but agree we need to see more games to get the full picture.

Nothing yet really to compare.

Just snakepass and lego city both games that don't require much in gpu and cpu resources.

It's really of the currently announced titles Skyrim and Payday 2 that could be compared to other versions. Both can run with sub ps3/360 hardware as they do work on windows tablets with low performance gpu's so we should be able to see where the Switch versions sit on that scale. Yes you can play those games with inferior graphics to ps3 and 360 so running on Switch is not the challenge but achieving a good frame rate and decent graphic detail is. Also how much will they cut out to fit on cartridge which is another factor.

Skyrim on the PS3 is 5.5GB

Even the special edition from steam is 12GB

Considering that Breath of the Wild is 13.4GB on Switch, what makes you think that they would require cutting out anything for the sake of fitting it on the cart?

Third party cartridges tend to be smaller than first party games because the first party will put on a profit  for the cartridge and it tends to make third party publishers go towards a smaller size. I thought the special edition was up at 22GB and Legendary was at 12GB but I guess it will vary by the format. It wouldn't surprise me if Skyrim was on a 8GB cartridge rather than the maximum possible currently 16GB but we shall see. I'm certainly hoping they will use 16GB.

16 isn't the biggest, not sure where you got that from, it's early days yet for the system though, will just have to sit and see how those 3rd parties come out.

When we already have a game that has all the good qualities and none of the bad ones in Lego city? No cursing, prostitutes, murder, or anything sexual in Lego city so no thanks to gta

Already bought it for PS3, PS4 and PC. So yes, of course! You can't buy this game often enough. xP

I stand corrected on the maximum size but going by past history third parties normally always go for smaller capacity cartridges where possible. Dragn Quest is a huge franchise in Japan. As for Skyrim I did already state by format and the xbox one and ps4 are 22gb

Maybe with the pc's superior cpu resources the files are stored more heavily compressed. PS3 often had larger file sizes due to support of high quality 7.1 soundtracks and high quality pre-rendered 1080p video so perhaps that is another possible factor. Both ps4 and xbox one are pretty gutless cpu wise.

Aye those are definitely getting cut since the Switch only supports 5.1 surround so I really doubt it will have the same quality of audio as the PS4 version, will just have to wait and see and hope that bethesda put the needed work into making the port great... it's not likely they've ever had bad ports before on consoles :D

Fallout 3 on the PS3 and Fallout 4's infamous 0fps on Xbox 1 come to mind lol.

I dropped resolution on ps3 to 480i when playing Fallout 3 DLC just to try and improve the frame rate. I've spent more time on Fallout 4 on xbox one than any other console mainly because it was the cheapest version I could buy at the time and not seen any frame rate issues at all that I can think of but may not have tried the early version, by the time I got it and played it, it may have been patched.

Yeah it was most likely patched alright, think it was a streaming issue from the hdd or something at launch but it did drop to 0fps at points

Just a bit after that should see it choke up.

Fallout 3 for me was all X360 and was glorious and then 4 I have on the shelf for the ps4... and I've yet to start playing it myself, annoyed to have it in my backlog so long now.
