I used to be big on LBP, especially the creative side, and the one big thing that intrigues me about that gif is I wonder how they've done that plue liquid filling up the gully. It appears to move forward pixel perfectly.

I wonder if they will allow Dreams to become a platform within a Platform where Indie devs etc can create and sell games.

I've always argued that is exactly what is possible with Dreams and it's more or less confirmed in this vid. It looks like only the legal side of things will stop that happening.

I'm excited for this game. I just want it to come out already though!

With the way they have talked about it, I believe they fully intend to make Dreams a development platform. They have talked about allowing creators to export their work to unity, which should allow it to work on nearly anything. 

With Sony completely exiting the PC space, in hardware, games, and software, it appears they are slowly moving towards making PlayStation a fully self sustaining computer platform, built with games at the core. 

I am very interested to see how this plays out, and what the deeper strategy is for PlayStation and Sony going forward. They have been trying to bring everything together under the One Sony umbrella for years. Hopefully dreams will be a powerful development platform that can help build towards a future where all Sony devices run on the same scaled optimized hardware and OS.

That would be amazing but I am not sure they realize how powerfull it could be and are actually going after that. I mean thats a whole new level. For a company that focuses on something smaller this would be kinda scary I guess.

Also they are still going after PC, I mean they are building psNow so ps can be everywhere.

I'm really curious to see how far they will push it. Dreams could be everything we dream of

Legal things will probably depend on how much Sony restrict this engine being used outside of Sony platforms. I think Sony should license it out and allow people to use it as an engine to create games for any system. With that the legal side might be simpler than with restrictions.
