Retro did an amazing job with DKCR and DKCTF. They don't need any help.

Okay, let's see where this is going. Which important aspects are missing? |
You know the animal companions are the answer.

Actually, I expect King K. Rool and the Kremlings to be the answer. |
True. God forbid the games are not pretty much remakes...

Do you own stock in Playtonic or something?
What's with all the threads?
Yooka-Laylee may be better than reviewers say it is - But Retro Studios's DK games are fantastic, so I hardly see the need of a collaboration between the 2.

No, it doesn't, and you're completely ignoring the other points. |
So what if it doesnt have the Kremlins? The new ones does the same thing the Kremlins would have done anyway. Be there for you to jump on...
You dont have the animals, but you have the other Kongs riding on your back. They give you different abilities.
Bosses in Tropical Freeze are pretty damn creative.
Ill give you bonus levels, but I think Retro are more than capable of making better ones.

The Kremling's weren't just there to jump on, they were an important part of Donkey Kong Country lore, and had a more lasting appeal than the new villains. |
Donkey Kong lore? Whats so important about the Kremlins?

I don't see any reason for that. Retro's doing just fine by themselves, and Playtonic doesn't really have the kind of track record to make me think otherwise yet. Maybe once they've made more than just one average 3D platformer.

They were the most appropriate enemy for the Kongs. ie. primates vs crocodilians. |
Are crocodiles really a big problem for primates?
Sounds decent but the minecart levels suck in yookalaylee
