Why so much lower on PS4?

Jesus. I can't remember the last time a multiplat game had such a gulf between meta scores. And the one with superior resolution and frame rate is the low scoring one. Ah well.

Technically the PC version runs ahead of the PS4, with X1 in 3rd. I guess the reviewers for X1 just really like the game (aside from user scores).

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Usually the version with less reviews has a higher score.

Unless we see the same website giving different scores to different versions, just the case of 79 (as of writing) is the most accurate score.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

PS4 has more good games... and more reviewers.

When your thirsty any thing will do.

But yeah this def. shows theres a differnce, reviewers go easier on xbox.

Another reason not to blindly trust review scores.

Have you any proof of this? What if those 5 xbo critics just loved the game? Ps4 version also has like 6 critics giving the same high scores

This whole idea that having more games available affects your criteria it's so damn stupid sorry, both consoles have hundreds of games anyways

What you're saying would maybe make a little sense if we were talking about user reviews, but I find it hard to believe that professional reviewers would have so little experience with good games that they would end up overrating titles.

Sample variance. The gap should stabilise to a degree as more reviews come in, but it's not uncommon for there to be a difference of a few points (regardless to which version is actually "better").

I think this is reaching. The entire comment.

Now lets be fair, the bolded is factually correct.  The rest is pure conjecture and rubbish though.

OT: I found the game to be very lackluster in the demo primarily because of the weapons they roll you out with.  Also, the issue with being a Bioshock-like game is that this simply isn't Bioshock and I am far too big a Bioshock fan to settle for a second rate attempt at it.  The 70s seem fair to me though, as what I did see at least looked good and performed well.
